Without our dedicated team of volunteers, the Pioneer Settlement simply could not function. Whether driving our recently restored vintage Dodge for visitors; working in our Drapers and Milliners shops or behind the counter in our Tea Rooms - the volunteers are central to the experience of the Pioneer Settlement. Presenting a living past cannot occur without people to populate that past and our volunteers are those people. But just as important are those who work behind the scenes, maintaining our gardens; working with our Staff on maintaining the buildings or restoring and running the historic machinery in the Steam Workshop - it adds up to a great experience for all involved. |
