Amongst the tens of thousands of historic objects in the Pioneer Settlement's
collection, most of which are on display around the site, are many agricultural
machines; some dating back to the very earliest days of European Settlement.
In addition we have an internationally recognised, substantial collection of 'Steel Wheel' tractors from the turn of the twentieth century to the start of the
Second World War.
As with our strippers, headers and other agricultural machines, many of these
tractors are rare and unusual with some being the only examples still existing
anywhere in the world.
