We would love to welcome you and your family to the Swan Hill region, the Heart of the Murray.

The Swan Hill region is situated in North West Victoria nestled on one of our country’s most beautiful natural assets, the Murray River. Bathed in sunshine, the region enjoys a mediterranean climate with low humidity and high sunlight hours. Visitors enjoy long, warm summer days and crisp, clear winters.

It’s a region rich in culture, blessed with a bounty of delicious local produce and home to great dining, wine and shopping. The Swan Hill region has matured over recent years into a modern city, but still has the heart of a country town. Although Swan Hill is the central hub, the surrounding townships have their own unique character and identity.

To the north of Swan Hill are the picturesque villages of Robinvale, Beverford, Nyah, Nyah West and Piangil, while to the south lies Lake Boga, renowned for its vital role in World War II as a flying boat repair depot and offering opportunities for water sports and recreation. To the west is Ultima, a wheatbelt community, home to the most down to earth people you’ll ever meet. You can also cross the river to Murray Downs and Tooleybuc where rural life mixes easily with river culture.

In a part of Australia that is renowned for its varied and unique attractions, there is sure to be something for you to enjoy in the Swan Hill region, no matter what your taste or interest.
