Pioneer Settlement is pleased to be able to welcome you back, we really have missed entertaining you all. While our site may look a bit different and some of our experiences have altered you can still enjoy some good old fashion fun!

PLEASE NOTE:  In line with the stage 3 restrictions released by the State Government that came into effect at 11.59pm on 8 July, 2020 we will be refusing entry to those that live in metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire that are currently under stay home orders.

All staff are working hard to ensure we provide a Covid safe environment for your visit our site capacity is 850 people, with restrictions limiting numbers on the Pyap and at Heartbeat of the Murray to 20 people.

To keep you safe and ensure you have an enjoyable experience at Pioneer Settlement we have:

  • Hand sanitisers located throughout the site and highlighted on your map, please do not hesitate to speak with staff should you be trying to locate your nearest sanitiser

  • Limits inside buildings clearly identified on the outside Perspex screens in key interactive areas

  • Increased cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day Dedicated Hygiene, Cleaning and Social Distancing Protocols in place

  • We ask that you maintain 1.5 meter social distancing from both staff and other visitors to Pioneer Settlement. We have additional signage throughout the site to remind you and staff can assist you if needed

  • We require your name and phone number in accordance with regulations upon arrival; these will be kept for 28 days in the event of an outbreak
  • We ask that you book ahead for both the Pyap River cruise and Heartbeat of the Murray experience as both of these experiences will have limited numbers to ensure we meet social distancing requirements
