Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement presents 100 years of history on the banks of the Murray River. As the very first open-air heritage park in Australia this unique 19th century experience is not to be missed.
Your visit includes a variety of working displays, buildings, restorations and exhibits to explore at your own leisure. From horse and carriage rides to restored vintage car rides, the Pioneer Settlement showcases Australian history with a hands-on journey. Watch as our blacksmith forges steal and metals, printers at the Echo Print Shop work on 19th century wanted posters, music demonstrations and an opportunity to capture your visit in period costume.
Take a relaxing one hour river cruise along the Murray River aboard the PS Pyap paddle-boat. The scenic natural environment and views of the historic Murray Downs Homestead are guaranteed to create a truly unique and memorable experience.
The PS Pyap river cruise is available for private charters at your request and runs daily Monday to Friday and twice daily on weekends.
